Just when I thought it was going to be another night of "what's in the fridge", my wife suggested that we head over to
Sonny's Bar-BQ for dinner. This of course led to immediate daydreams and visions of ribs and fried okra dancing in my head. I have been craving some good and fresh off the grill BBQ for a while and I just can't seem to find anything to fulfill it. Don't get me wrong Sonny's is not terrible and I don't mind it on occasion, but I just miss that delicious BBQ that I remember as a kid. My Wife says that they have the best fries, but I didn't want to waste any room with those and they really just looked like thick crinkle cut fries from a bag. I do love to have their fried okra with ranch and that is one of the few times that I eat ranch. Let's look at a few pictures and I will tell you some more.

The picture above was my dinner; Sweet & Smokey Ribs, Bar-B-Q Beans & Cornbread. I can also tell you that I wasn't excited that they only had Bud and Budlight on tap, but in fairness they did have a few other beers in bottles. In the picture below is the Bar-B-Q Sliced Beef, Crinkle Cut French Fries & Garlic Bread.
My kids are happy with any place that has chicken strips or nuggets and coloring books. They do have a salad bar, but it didn't look appealing. Who eats salad at a BBQ joint anyway? All in all not bad, but not the best either. It's not made with love and that sticky goodness that my family used to make.
